Job Summary
We're looking for an experienced Food Handling Associate to join our team in a Quality Control and Packaging Operations Specialist role. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the packaging process is executed with precision and stringent quality control measures. Responsibilities
- Ensure all tray packers are functioning correctly by regularly monitoring glue levels, loading trays adequately, and performing necessary maintenance.
- Maintain the video jet on a regular basis to avoid any malfunctions and ensure consistent performance, which requires keeping it clean, maintaining adequate liquid levels, coding information precisely, and producing clear and legible prints.
- Supervise the shrink-wrap machine and reload the film when required.
- Take over the Packaging Machine Operator's role temporarily during their absence, performing routine maintenance tasks and keeping logbooks up to date.
- Regularly assess the legibility of the primary shipping document by reviewing its date and performing necessary adjustments.
- Ensure the appropriate equipment and raw materials are in place for a manufacturing process.
- Create a tidy, secure, and productive work atmosphere by maintaining cleanliness and safety.
- Promote a productive and harmonious work environment through effective communication.
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability through consistent attendance.
- Follow GMPs, maintain hygienic conditions, and safeguard product quality to avoid any potential hazards. Any issues that could affect personnel safety, product quality, or food safety must be immediately reported to management.
- Follow department and food safety protocols to execute sanitation procedures (possibly for the entirety of your work shift).
- Optimize the performance of your equipment by conducting regular maintenance and cleaning, as well as diagnosing any issues that may arise with extended run fillers like Elopack Fillers and Capers Scholle.
- Navigate a tablet's operating system to conduct thorough quality and performance evaluations.
- Process mathematical equations and calculations, including proportions, ratios, fractions, and percentages.
- Carry out parallel responsibilities and functions as instructed.
- Pursue any other tasks presented to you.
Qualifications
We're looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- No formal education is required, but relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in comprehending and deciphering various forms of literature, including safety regulations, maintenance handbooks, and procedural manuals.
- Competence in applying logical thinking to implement oral instructions and resolving complications comprising one specific component in preset scenarios.
- Computer proficiency, including internet browsing, to find, browse, and evaluate information on the web.
