They are seeking a Project Manager – Permit Expeditor to manage the permitting process for client projects, ensuring timely approvals and compliance with local building codes while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Review and consolidate project documentation for accuracy before submission
- Prepare and submit permit applications to local jurisdictions
- Coordinate plan reviews and address comments with architects and engineers
- Track permit status and proactively resolve delays
- Meet with city officials to clarify compliance requirements and advocate for client projects
- Maintain organized records of all active projects and approvals
- Expedite project approvals and resolve potential bottlenecks
- Develop a strong understanding of project drawings to facilitate approvals
Skills
- High school diploma or GED (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience in permitting, construction, or related field
- Familiarity with building codes and zoning regulations
