Job title: Non CDL Driver
Company: Weld RE-4 School District
Job description: SUMMARY: Responsible for driving students to and from schools located outside of the Weld RE-4 School District. Other routes may be assigned that do not require a CDL driver. Some of these routes may span a distance of greater than 50 miles (one-way)
DISTRICT QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Driver's License with good driving record
- Small Vehicle Training Completion
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive routes that do not require a CDL
- Maintain and promote professional defensive driving attitude
- Daily pre and post trip inspections
- Maintain proper student discipline per Board policy
- Maintain appropriate communication with supervisor, school and parents regarding student behavior
- Assist transportation department with other duties, including utility work such as cleaning vehicles, building, and equipment, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent sitting due to potential long routes
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
- Possess a valid Colorado Driver's license
- Must possess a current first aid and CPR card. Employee must have a current DOT physical.
- Employee could be subject to drug and alcohol screening
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: At-will employee. Work year and hourly rate to be established by Board of Education. Vacation/leave time/benefits will be established according to Board policy
