Role Overview
As a Remote Seasonal Licensed Healthcare Insurance Agent, you'll play a critical role in providing excellent customer service, assisting individuals in understanding their health insurance coverage, and selecting the right products and services to meet their needs. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, as long as you have a quiet workspace and high-speed internet.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service through a mostly inbound call model, responding to customer inquiries with compassion and active listening.
- Assist individuals in understanding their health insurance coverage and selecting the right products, services, and solutions to meet their personal health and financial needs.
- Make outbound calls to follow up with customers who have expressed interest in our services.
- Identify additional needs customers may have and help them upgrade products or services.
- Be a team player, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Maintain patient privacy by following HIPAA guidelines.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- A current health insurance license in your state of residence, in good standing.
- At least six months of healthcare sales experience.
- High-speed internet access (>15 mbps).
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer savvy, with the ability to navigate various software applications.
- Integrity to follow HIPAA guidelines on maintaining patient privacy.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Bilingual skills (fluent English and Spanish), with the ability to translate healthcare coverage terminology (not just conversational).
- Previous experience working in a call center or customer service environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance products and services.
