We are currently seeking a full-time Statewide Data / Reporting Analyst to support our Maryland team.
The Statewide Data / Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting operational and clinical contract requirements via data pipeline development and maintenance, report building, and dashboard creation.
Team meetings
Working with management to create, update, and revise project plans
Writing R, SQL, or Python code (your choice) to create aggregated data sets for the specific project purpose that will feed a BI dashboard
Adapt R, SQL, or Python code (your choice) to refresh the aggregated data set at a regular cadence
Create a data pipeline as described above to push the aggregated dataset to our data warehouse
Create BI dashboards using your aggregated datasets specific to the project purpose, following defined dashboard appearance conventions
Write and maintain project documentation as the project changes for user needs
Meet with leadership and intended dashboard users to present the dashboard and gather feedback
Adapt the aggregated dataset and associated dashboard in response to user feedback
Regularly monitor dashboards for integrity
Communicate promptly with management and colleagues via Slack, Zoom, and email
Engage with colleagues for brainstorming, idea sharing, and continuous learning

Willing to go into a prison site from time-to-time to train health care staff to use the data tools we create
Fluent in at least two of the three: R, SQL, Python (using chatGPT to write code does NOT qualify as fluent)
Comfortable creating Power BI dashboards including: connecting to multiple data sources, creating calculated fields and LOD expressions, creating and implementing parameters
Willingness to learn new coding languages and BI tools as the need arises
At least 2 references that will verify you possess the above abilities
Complete a live demonstration of coding proficiency via a Zoom session with management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, informatics, public health, nursing, or a behavioral/mental health discipline (Master’s Degree Preferred).
2+ years SQL experience
2+ years SSRS experience
1 + year SAS, R, and/or Python experience
1 + year Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc. experience
Exposure to clinical datasets such as pharmacy, EMR, and claims data.
1 + year Experience working with healthcare records or health-related data
Experience using statistical software packages to conduct descriptive and inferential statistics
1+ year Experience with machine learning
